Build a simple overhead setup
- Secure the phone in a stand above the work surface. Keep the mount clear of your hands and away from heat, liquids and moving tools.
- Use the rear camera and add even lighting from the side to reduce shadows and glare.
- Start Camlora, then open its local browser viewer or connect the Windows companion.
- Adjust rotation so text is upright. Frame the page, check focus on the phone and test that small writing is readable at the viewer.
- Share the browser window from your presentation app, or select Camlora’s Windows virtual camera if your app supports it.
Teaching and creative demonstrations
Show a worked maths example, annotate a printed page, demonstrate drawing techniques or give a close-up of a craft step. Keep the subject inside the frame and pause briefly after moving the paper so viewers can follow. A receiving application can record the demonstration if it supports recording.
A camera view, not a document scanner
Camlora supplies live video and a JPEG snapshot. It does not provide OCR, automatic page cropping, PDF generation or scan enhancement. Use a scanning tool if you need searchable documents or archival scans.
Choose browser or Windows output
The browser viewer is useful for displaying the desk on another device. The Windows webcam connection lets compatible desktop apps choose the phone as their camera. Your presentation software controls screen sharing, recording and who receives the picture.
Protect information in the frame
Remove personal documents and unrelated screens before sharing. Obtain permission for material and people you show, and check the receiving app’s recording and sharing settings.
