THE SETUP GUIDE

Your next angle.
Step by step.

You’ll need an Android phone, a Windows 10/11 computer and a trusted local network. Keep both devices nearby for your first connection.

01 / ANDROID

Give your phone a new job.

  1. Install Camlora on Android 7.0 or later. Install Camlora from Google Play.
  2. Connect the phone and computer to the same trusted Wi-Fi, or, with Android 1.1.0, connect a data cable and enable Android USB tethering. Avoid guest networks that isolate devices.
  3. Open Camlora and allow camera access. Microphone access is optional; video can work without it.
  4. Keep the app open for the first connection. Note the address and port on its screen; the default port is 5959.

Only stream people and spaces you have permission to capture. The phone’s notification lets you stop the stream.

02 / WINDOWS 11

Bring the picture to your desktop.

  1. Install the Windows companion and verify its SHA-256 checksum if you wish.
  2. Open Camlora. Select the discovered phone, or enter its local address and port manually.
  3. Connect and confirm that the preview is live.
  4. Choose Use as Webcam. First-time camera registration requires administrator approval. Read the Windows prompt before approving.
  5. Keep Camlora and its camera helper running while you use the webcam.
03 / YOUR APP

Choose Camlora. Find your angle.

  1. Open your meeting or recording app’s camera settings.
  2. Select Camlora or Camlora (Windows Virtual Camera). Reopen the receiving app if the new camera is not listed.
  3. Select your usual headset or computer microphone. Camlora does not provide a system-wide microphone in this release.
  4. Position your phone securely at eye level, or point it at your desk. Start at 720p and increase quality if the connection remains smooth.
  5. Finish by stopping the webcam on Windows and stopping streaming on the phone.

NO DESKTOP CLIENT REQUIRED

Use it as a Wi-Fi IP camera in a compatible browser.

Open the phone’s address to see the dashboard, or add /view for a controls-free view. This does not create a virtual camera in meeting apps.

Your local addresses

Enter the address displayed in Camlora on your phone.
